Altho it was pretty sure there was a new diablo coming from the moment Blizzard North, the makers of the previous Diablo's, were looking for new employees, its now official:

No MMO, just oldskool action RPG!
It enters pretty much in the same style as Starcraft 2: a game thats looks pretty far in its development.
The graphics arent that great I must say (looks like starcraft2 engine tome?), but the gameplay movie looks stunning with its oldskool diablo gameplay nonetheless and reminds me alot more of diablo1 than 2, which is cool  .
And the teaser trailer is again one of blizzards finest CGI and cinematic skills
But with the Witch Doctor....no Necromancer??

Assassin better make a comeback! tho knowing blizz right they r prolly making 7-10 classes and keeping all but the first 5 for the expansion(s)
Tigerstrike ftw! remember doing 18000 splash dmg with a kick once now that's dmg for u ! (corpse explosion doesn't count cos that needs a few dead mobs first)

I like the way BLizz develop the game first, then go "oh by the way, looka what we r making!" when its near completion. Seems to lessen the pressure from the publishers and gives a more solid game :v

Looks like the same engine as SC2, and they said (well, promised) that SC2 would run okayish on lower end pc's.

so you actually believe Duke forever will be out this year? Im guessing bliz will be trying hard for a nov/dec release of SC2. Diablo at least 6 months later, done or not they wont compete with their own products.
med/low comp = ?
im completely out of the loop on hardware. What cpu and gfx card do you think i shud aim for?

The doom3 engine version of DNF is playable now (shacknews played it, and some vague ingame footage can be seen from 4:00 in this vid), so if they actually finish this one, it could be released this year.
(altho ofc they shouldve finished the Unreal version serveral years ago!)
med/low comp = prolly an okayish AMD X2 CPU, 1-2gb ram, ATI's 1900 or nvidia's 7900 series and better gfx card.
